WebSocket Developer WebSocket Communication Developer
Build and maintain real-time chat experiences — guest, student, instructor, and partner bots — using Django Channels and WebSockets.
DriveVision's platform uses WebSocket-backed chat widgets to guide guests through booking, support students and instructors, and coach Service Partners on referrals and earnings. You will extend our Django Channels consumers, routing, and client integration for reliable, low-latency messaging.
You'll work on connection lifecycle, session resume, bot action handlers, and secure scaling of real-time features alongside the wider engineering team.
What we're looking for
- Strong Python and Django experience
- Django Channels, ASGI, and WebSocket protocols
- JavaScript client integration for live chat UIs
- Async patterns, connection pooling, and error recovery
- Redis or similar channel layer experience
- Security awareness for authenticated vs guest sockets
- Tests for consumers and message flows
